Set in the historic yet vibrant city of Tianjin, Banyan Tree Tianjin Riverside opened its doors on 27 April 2013 marking the group’s first luxury property in Northern China. Building on the group’s unique urban resort concept, the Banyan Tree Tianjin combines luxurious resort amenities and experiences with metropolitan living. The 159 elegantly appointed guest rooms draw inspiration from the refined aesthetics of traditional Chinese ink paintings, and embody the intrinsic charms of the Orient. Each room is designed to be a tranquil haven of rest and relaxation, artfully crafted with richly-textured materials and tastefully accentuated furnishings, including a sizeable Relaxation Tub for guests to indulge in a delightful soak.

Banyan Tree Tianjin Riverside is styled as a tropical garden retreat and is the first hotel of the group to present the renowned Banyan Tree Spa in Northern China. The 1000 square foot Spa includes three Double Royal Rooms with double rain mist facilities, one Double Deluxe Room, five Single Deluxe Rooms, one Facial Room, a Beauty Salon with two Foot Massage Rooms and a Relaxation Area. Wellness facilities comprise the gymnasium, hot and warm dip pools and a 25 metre swimming pool.

Guests will reawaken their senses by the intuitive touch of the professionally trained therapists. Deluxe spa and beauty treatments based on time-honoured Asian healing therapies, includes the signature Royal Banyan treatment to combat the dry climate of Northern China. It features the Royal Banyan Herbal Pouch Massage where an herbal pouch dipped in warm Sesame Oil, complements the East-meets-West massage techniques to improve blood circulation and muscular tension. The unique blend of Ginger and Lemongrass Body Scrub deeply exfoliates while moisturising the skin, followed by a Jade Face Massage.
