SriLankaInStyle’s Australia/NZ representation appointment
SriLankaInStyle has a new partnership with LRforLuxuryResorts. Company founder Liz Rodgers will be responsible for developing their Australia & New Zealand business through strategic travel industry relationships and partnerships.
SriLankaInStyle has exhibited at PURE Life Experiences since its inception; it is a Virtuoso on-site and CEO, Miguel Cunat, has been recognised by Condé Nast Traveller as Sri Lanka’s Top Travel Specialist.
Miguel noted “ SrilankaInStyle’s Australia business from grew by 26 per cent last year with individual traveller spend well in excess of more established markets.” Adding, “With the commencement of direct flights from Melbourne starting this October and Liz now in-market, we anticipate a further rise in numbers from Australia.”
SriLankaInStyle aims to showcase Sri Lankan diversity and provide travellers with the opportunity to engage in meaningful encounters with local people, whilst creating life-long memories and promoting the conservation of the island.
Following these principals, SriLankaInStyle has developed new itineraries: “Sri Lanka Differently” which allows travellers to escape the standard Sri Lanka holiday, stripping it back so that the focus of the journey is about connecting with the island’s raw landscape and the traditions which lie at the core of Sri Lankan culture.
SriLankaInStyle’s handpicked selection of villas is ideal for multi-generational travellers, providing families with space, privacy and staff which gives them the freedom to maximise their time exploring local surroundings. There is also an abundance of activities for families – Art on the Ramparts of Galle Fort is perfect for younger children; suitable for all ages are guided bicycle trails, while older kids love learning the art of traditional mask making at a workshop with a local artist. Also popular are water-based adventures such as whale and dolphin watching trips on a private catamaran.
Cunat enthused “We look forward to welcoming more sophisticated Australian travellers to enjoy all that Sri Lanka has to offer – from its deep-cultural heritage, amazing wildlife, water-sports, and beautiful beaches.”
