Conrad Hotels & Resorts’ brand essence, ‘The Luxury of Being Yourself’, now applies to the whole family with the launch of the ‘Little C Palace’ children’s club at the new Conrad Algarve, Portugal. Designed by children, for children, the club is an opportunity for younger members of the family to make the decisions on holiday. With the ‘Little C Palace’, children aged between three and 12 years old will learn about the local culture and use their imagination, whilst being the leaders of their holiday adventure. Activities are dependent on children’s age and one day at the ‘Little C Palace’ costs from €29.
With 154 spacious bedrooms, extensive spa facilities, four pools and the lively Gusto restaurant by award winning Chef Heinz Beck, there are plenty of options to ensure the children aren’t the only ones having fun.
Nightly rates at Conrad Algarve start from €199 based on two adults and one child sharing a grand deluxe room on a B&B basis. Alternatively nightly rates start from €164 per room based on two adults sharing, with the second interconnecting room priced at €82 per room for two children up to 18 years of age, on a B&B basis.
To create the ‘Little C Palace’ the Conrad Algarve team travelled to a selection of schools in the local area of Quinta do Lago and asked the school children to draw pictures of their favourite things to see and do whilst on holiday; anything from colourful balloons to greet little guests on arrival to twinkling stars on the ceiling at night. With this research, and in line with Conrad’s philosophy of ‘smart luxury’ for seamless travel, the Conrad Algarve team provides personalised service for guests of every age, based on the ‘Luxury of Being Yourself’.
As part of their tailor-made experience, children will be welcomed by the two mascots, adventurer Afonso and his female lizard friend Liz. Upon arrival, these mascots will give children their own key and a secret code, encouraging budding explorers to find the hidden doorway to the ‘Little C Palace’, the fun children’s area of the hotel, which is open to young guests aged between three and 12, from Wednesday to Sunday each week from 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5.30pm. Children are also able to enjoy a supervised lunch with their new friends between 12.30pm to 2pm if they wish.
After working up an appetite with all of these activities, children at the ‘Little C Palace’ will enjoy a children’s menu specially created for them by children in the local school. With healthy pea and ham risotto, fresh pasta and oodles of noodles, it’s not chips and fizzy drinks at the ‘Little C Palace’. In the evenings, children can play in an organic bubble bath with their favourite toys, before receiving a clue under their pillow with a hint of the next day’s mission.
