Four Seasons Bali enhance style

A style evolution is occurring at Four Seasons Bali at Sayan with all 42 villas recreated to enhance romance, unite guests with the natural surroundings and create a more authentic Balinese experience. The villa outdoor living areas now welcome furnishings with a plush day bed for sunning beside the private plunge pool, and a dining table with umbrella, whilst the air-conditioned interiors have been fitted with new furniture and luxe Balinese detailing. The green marble bathrooms now feature a standing tub overlooking the lush forest, in addition to indoor and outdoor showers, a wood panelled walk-in closet and dressing area. The Four Seasons Bali topped the list of best resorts on the Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List 2013, with its one-of-a-kind one and two-bedroom luxury villas.

The resort’s General Manager, Uday Rao, has said that the new renovations aim to place the Four Seasons Bali at Sayan the top of luxury accommodation in Bali. “Our one and two-bedroom villas have always been considered unique in the world. The villas have been impeccably maintained over the 15 years since the resort was built. But we wanted to evolve the design to ensure their place among the finest villas in Bali.”

Designed by Koichi Yasuhiro from Tokyo’s renowned Design Studio SPIN, the new look is chic and modern, but with a strong reflection of Balinese architectural style, tradition and culture. Natural and rustic materials have been used to complement the Resort’s natural atmosphere. All the materials are from Bali, including traditional ikat fabrics, shell and coconut, as well as Balinese handicrafts. The design gives guests the sense of their own private home in Bali.

The most spectacular of all is the Royal Villa – a two storey, three-bedroom residence overlooking secluded rice terraces and the beautiful Ayung River. New furnishings highlight the drama of the open-air living room, the dining room and dining gazebo, as well as the dreamy master suite on the upper level.

With the completion of the new villas, Four Seasons Bali will continue to evolve with upcoming plans to renovate all of its 18 suites.
