A Francis Ford collection of luxury resorts, The Coppola Resorts in Belize, offers guests a unique luxury dining experience in one of the world’s most exotic locations. Two of the Belize properties, Turtle Inn and Blancaneaux Lodge, now offer guests an organic fine dining experience with fresh organic food featured on the menus grown in the properties’ extensive private gardens. The hotel chefs blend organic tastes with the flavours of Belize into mouth-watering dishes; highlights of the menu include a Coconut Curry Chicken dish and the Shrimp Ceviche which are sure to delight your tastebuds.
Francis Ford Coppola believed it was well-worth the challenge to grow an organic garden in the middle of the Belizean jungle. The ample three-and-a-half acre garden at Blancaneaux Lodge has been a signature of the property since opening in 1993. Producing traditional and exotic vegetables and fruits all year round, the local farmers advise the chef daily on what is in season and best to cook with. With Blancaneaux’s two on-site restaurants, Montagna and Guatemaltecqua, guests can dine on Italian dishes inspired by Francis’ favourite meals or traditional Guatemalan cuisine.
Located in Placencia by the sea, Turtle Inn features an organic garden and fruit orchard with fresh seafood and shellfish sourced from local offshore fertile reefs. Guests can dine on Italian cuisine including pizza from an authentic wood-fired oven, Balinese-inspired grilled seafood served on the beach, or authentic Belizean fare featuring delicious regional delicacies.
