Royal Caribbean International has announced that the world’s largest and most innovative cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas, will be sailing Europe for a short autumn season in 2014, open for sale on 11 April 2013. Guests who sail the Atlantic and Western Mediterranean cruises can discover for themselves exclusive family concepts, such as an 82 foot-long zip line, a handcrafted carousel, twin FlowRider surf simulators, an ice-skating rink, and the H20 Zone kids’ Aquapark. Royal Caribbean’s complimentary Adventure Ocean family programme will help guests of every generation share in an unforgettable Europe family holiday.
On these cruises, guests also will have an exclusive preview of the Quantum-class experience, new features on the cruise line’s latest ships currently in construction. There will also be special programs to will amplify the Oasis-class experience.
- Two trans-Atlantic crossings will give guests the opportunity to experience all of Oasis of the Seas’ unmatched innovative amenities and experiences. A 12-night eastbound cruise from the ship’s homeport of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Barcelona departs 1 September 2014 and a 13-night westbound cruise will return Oasis of the Seas to Port Everglades from Rotterdam on 14 October. Cruise guests also can embark the westbound trans-Atlantic cruise at Southampton on 15 October.
- Guests also choose three Europe sailings: there are two roundtrip sailings on a five-night Western Mediterranean itinerary from Barcelona, and a seven-night Spain itinerary sailing from Barcelona to Rotterdam, The Netherlands, where Oasis of the Seas will enter drydock in Képpel Verolme shipyard for routine maintenance.
- Additionally, a two-night Bahamas cruise departing on 30 August and a five-night Western Caribbean cruise departing on 27 October, both roundtrip from Port Everglades, will bookend Oasis of the Seas’ short 2014 Europe season.
