With an envy-inducing location on the inner harbour, Design Hotels’ latest venture, Mainport, will be the first member hotel in Europe’s largest port city and is set to open in May. Wide glass windows wrap around the 215-room waterfront property shaped by MAS Architectuur allowing guests to see and feel the vibrancy of the harbour and the famous cable-stayed Erasmus Bridge. Wellness will be a reoccurring theme at Mainport with many of the guestrooms featuring facilities usually reserved for hotel spas, such as oversized hot tubs and private Finnish saunas.
Design Hotels represents and markets a curated selection of 250 independent hotels in over 40 countries across the globe.
More than a collection of hotels, the company is a collection of stories. Each property reflects the ideas of a visionary hotelier, someone with a passion for genuine hospitality, cultural authenticity, thought-provoking design and architecture.
