One of France’s most innovative hotel groups, Maisons & Hotels Sibuet, has announced the launch of Domaine de la Baume. The property is due to open on 10 July in Tourtour, Provence- a 12th Century hilltop village, long recognised as one of the most beautiful in France.
Set in nearly one hundred acres, the Domaine is the former residence of French artist, Bernard Buffet. Providing inspiration his his later works, the Domaine offers a tranquil setting and will include 15 individually designed rooms and suites, with a further 23 rooms planned to open in 2014.
The Domaine will also include Sibuet’s award-winning spa brand, Pure Altitude. Focusing on wellbeing and beauty with a distinctive Alpine heritage, the spa will comprise a hammam and sauna, and other sporting facilities such as a tennis court, large outdoor swimming pool, pétanque strip and equestrian farm. A private chapel is also available for exclusive weddings, and a helipad is located within the grounds.
