Carnival Corporation & PLC has announced that it will be introducing its Princess Cruises brand to China next year. The cruise company has also named Shanghai as the home port for the Sapphire Princess during a four-month season which is expected to carry 70,000 passengers. This market expansion seeks to offer the discerning Chinese traveller a luxury cruise experience to stunning locations throughout Asia. The new round-trip cruises will begin in May 2014, the season commencing with the seven-day Sapphire Princess itinerary. Tickets will be available to purchase from 1 November 2013.
The luxury Sapphire Princess cruise will begin in Shanghai, stopping at the vibrant Korean capital of Seoul, Busan, and the majestical Island of Jeju before returning to Shanghai. Alternatively, the shorter five-day cruise will only visit Jeju and Inchon.
