As technology and computers continue to get more and more advanced, many successful businesses of today will have to re-evaluate for future financial sustainability. Business owners, in particular small business owners, need to think about the future before they are overtaken by it.
University economist, Tyler Cowen believes that, in what looks like a future economy dominated by intelligent machines, business owners need to take important steps towards adapting and surviving. He urges business owners to add value to computer education, in order to avoid the computer doing things better than employees. He believes that travel agencies are a good example of a field where machines have taken over with many online websites doing the travel agent’s job via a search engine format.
