Valentine and Anti-Valentine Specials at Boqueria


Spanish restaurant Boqueria in central Hong Kong is offering a week of fun-filled evenings in celebration of Valentine’s Day for both happy couples and those just wanting to enjoy the occasion with friends. The ‘Besame Mucho’ is a decadent five-course set menu for two, starting with flavourful tapas courtesy of award-winning Valencia-born Chef David Izquierdo, continuing with a choice of lobster paella or Tomahawk steak for main and finishing with a dulce de leche soufflé.

For those who find themselves alone on Valentine’s Day, Boqueria is offering complimentary ‘Spanish Happier Hour’ throughout the week, with ladies provided with all-you-can-drink Sangria and Estrella beer along with an array of Barcelona-style Tapas. The restaurant is also presenting the ‘Fiesta de la Paella’, a five-course set dinner catering to groups of six or more people. It includes some of Boqueria’s most popular dishes along with a generous pan-full of combination saffron paella and a fresh batch of churros to share, making for a fun night out with friends.

The Besame Mucho menu is HK$888 for two people and the Fiesta de la Paella menu is HK$388pp with a recommendation of 10 people per group. These Valentine’s Day special menus will be running from 10 to 16 February.

Boqueria restaurant and tapas bar brings Spain’s vibrant and convivial dining culture to Hong Kong’s bustling Lan Kwai Fong area. The menu is inspired by El Mercat del la Boqueria and includes a large selection of classic tapas and signature dishes meant for sharing, along with a market menu by Valencia-born chef David Izquierdo. The flagship Boqueria opened in New York City’s Flatiron district in 2006, and has since expanded to New York City’s famed Soho neighbourhood and Washington D.C.

Boqueria tapas bar and restaurant is open Monday to Saturday 12-2:30pm, 6-11pm and Sundays between 6-11pm. The Valentine’s Day special menus are as follows:
