The Symphony Style Hotel Kuwait, The May Fair Hotel London, and the G&V Royal Mile Hotel Edinburgh have been announced as the first three member hotels of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s new Quorvus Collection.The company’s President Wolfgang Neumann says of the new brand, “It is a new generation of expertly curated luxury hotels inspired by the lifestyle and sensibilities of the contemporary global traveller… Member hotels are historic landmarks, contemporary residences, classic boutiques and urban retreats – all different in scale, architecture, ambience and design, yet committed to the same unparalleled service philosophy”. The initial goal of the collection is to grow a portfolio of 20 hotels by 2020, combining acquisitions with newly-built properties. This development is part of Carlson Rezidor’s move to better cover the luxury hotel segment.
Symphony Style Hotel Kuwait spans 18 floors and 169 rooms in the main shopping district of Kuwait City. Guests will discover divine views across the Arabian Gulf, fresh interiors and state-of-the-art technological inclusions.
G&V Royal Mile Hotel Edinburgh provides 136 rooms and suites in the heart of the Scottish capital. It acts as the perfect base for high-end travellers in the region, incorporating vibrant designs and the latest technologies.
May Fair Hotel London – which combines boutique details with the service of a grand hotel – will not officially join the collection until summer 2014. It incorporates the May Fair Bar, with a list of over 40 signature cocktails on offer. It was first opened by King George V in 1927, offering 404 bedrooms, a 201-seat private screening room, and the May Fair Spa for urban indulgence.
