Right now, kids can stay free at Ulusaba Private Game Reserve when a holiday is booked before 19 June this year. Up to two kids (aka cubs) can stay for free with one or more adults staying at the game reserve’s Rock Lodge. This lodge is part of the Virgin Limited Edition resort collection and contains 10 African-themed rooms and suites, perched high on an outcrop commanding impressive vistas of the surrounding lowveld. All rooms and suites are extremely private, and some even boast their own plunge pool. This offer can be promoted by all agents affiliated with the Virtuoso travel network in Australia or New Zealand, and is valid for travel until 8 December 2014. Prices start from ZAR8100 (approximately AU$836.70) per person per night.
The resort features a swimming pool, atmospheric lounge and bar areas, and – of course – safaris. Kids aged zero to 11 can stay but must be aged six or over to join a safari group.
Include in the package cost is accommodation, transfers from Ulusaba’s airstrip, all meals and alcoholic beverages, and twice-daily game drives. Cubs enjoy tailored programmes, and Rock Lodge also offers complimentary babysitting.
