“Be a Weekender”


The latest Australasian campaign from Hilton Worldwide is encouraging patrons to ‘Be a Weekender’, helping them to make the most of their 48-hour weekends and experience the spectrum of cosmopolitan cities, beaches, adventure activities, food and wine around them.

The range of special promotions will run until 31 December 2014, with all Hilton Hotels and Resorts – as well as DoubleTree by Hilton properties – in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific participating. Rates to ‘Be a Weekender’ start from AU$140 per night (at Hilton Parmelia Perth), with costs varying depending on property, location and undertaken activities. Destinations span Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Surfers Paradise, Cairns, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Alice Springs, Auckland, Queenstown, Lake Taupo, Noumea, Fiji, Bora Bora and Moorea, so there really is something on offer for everyone.

The campaign promotes short urban stays and regional experiences within key destinations in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. The campaign will promote special packages for everything from family mid-winter escapes in Hilton Surfers Paradise, couples’ breaks to explore Melbourne’s art and design scene, and Hilton Queenstown weekenders for thrill-seekers.

Culinary travel is another focus of the campaign, with a range of exceptional food experiences promoted throughout Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, where consumers can explore Australia’s world-class gastronomy scene.
