Bali has been included in four new Crystal Cruises itineraries in Australian spring 2014 and early summer 2015. These encompass Balinese destinations both on land and at sea.

Passengers will sail aboard luxe ship Crystal Symphony, enjoying the entertainment of native dancers, an Emmy award-winning Bali anthropologist and filmmaker, and a traditional chef. These offerings include a ‘Beyond the Great Barrier Reef’ cruise from Sydney to Bali departing 24 November, and three itineraries that pass between Bali and Singapore which will depart on 7 December this year, and 5 and 17 January in 2015. Each itinerary runs for 12 to 14 days, calling in at a range of stunning Indonesian harbours.

On shore activities include elephant rides through the forest, visits to ancient temples once only entered by the rajas, education in traditional batik and other crafts, and visits to local villages and residences.

Indonesian ports of call include Komodo Island, Semarang and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Borobudur, Jakarta, Surabaya and Belawan. Outside of Bali, and varying on which cruise is being undertaken, destinations include (but are not limited to) Malacca City, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City, Sydney, Darwin, the Whitsunday Island and Cairns.
