Passengers on Seabourn Odyssey’s Christmas Cruise from Sydney to Auckland will be fortunate to cruise with one of Apple’s co-founders, Steve Wozniak. The 16-day Seabourn itinerary departs 21 December 2014 and is priced from $8999 per person (including a complimentary upgrade to a veranda suite). During the voyage, Wozniak will share insights from his life as part of the cruise line’s onboard enrichment and special guest entertainment programme, Seabourn Conversations.
“The art of conversation is a key element on board our ships, and nowhere will the chatter be more ardent than (…)when Steve Wozniak starts the dialogue,” says Seabourn Senior Vice, John Delaney.
The 32,000-tonne ship will be down under until 23 February 2015, and is scheduled to call at 18 Australian ports.
Wozniak designed the hardware, circuit board designs and operating system for the Apple I personal computer and was awarded the National Medal of Technology, the highest honour bestowed on America’s leading innovators, by President Reagan in 1985. He was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame in 2000, and in 2006, released his New York Times-bestselling autobiography.
Seabourn’s intimate, award-winning ships offer key elements that set Seabourn apart: spacious suites, superb dining in a choice of venues, open bars throughout the ship, fine wines poured at lunch and dinner, award-winning service, and a relaxed, sociable atmosphere that makes guests feel right at home on board.
All fares are in Australian dollars, for new bookings only, per guest, double occupancy, and subject to availability.
