This month Singita has unveiled a complete re-design of its Singita Boulders Lodge in the heart of South Africa’s Sabi Sand Game Reserve. After being operational for 17 years, the 12-suite property shut down to undergo a revamp that sees it now draw on a new primal and raw design concept. The new interiors instil a sense of tranquillity that free up guests to experience and explore nature like never before.
The décor throughout is pared-down in a palette of charcoal, chalk, bone, rust and ochre to reflect the four elements of earth, fire, air and water. Dramatic sculptural shapes, abstract art, and carefully curated collections of found objects articulate a deeper connection with the wild, while sheepskin rugs and natural flax bed linen add subtle layers of luxury to the guest experience.
During their stay, guests will also be able to benefit from the other high end facilities on offer, which include a swimming pool with spectacular views over the Sand River, a gym and spa.
The Sabi Sand Game Reserve borders the Kruger National Park in northeast South Africa. It is the oldest private reserve in South Africa and is recognized globally for its formidable concentration of big game-viewing land and frequent leopard sightings.
To ensure the Singita experience is truly unrivalled, Singita Boulders Lodge can easily be combined with Singita Sweni Lodge in neighbouring Kruger National Park – a tranquil sanctuary flanking the Sweni River and also available for private rental for up to 12 guests – or Singita Pamushana, situated in the south east of Zimbabwe, with sensational views over the Malilangwe dam and sandstone hills.
