Travellers who book before 30 September can save $400 per couple on Un-Cruise’s Sea of Cortés adventure in Baja, Mexico. The 84-passenger Safari Endeavour sails weeklong voyages out of San José del Cabo from November through March (however the deal is not applicable for departures on 20 or 27 December).
The Sea of Cortés is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Un-Cruise has two itineraries on offer. Both sail from San José del Cabo and include all adventure activities (snorkelling, hiking, skiff excursions, paddle boarding, beachcombing, a burro ride, swimming with sea lions at Los Islotes). They also include exquisite meals; premium wine, spirits and microbrews; hot tub, sauna, exercise equipment and yoga; transfers; and all port charges.
Rates start at US$2995 per person, double occupancy before the savings.
Through November and December the ‘Cousteau’s Aquarium of the World’ itinerary includes an opportunity to snorkel with whale sharks, plus time to explore historic towns of La Paz and Loreto. From January through March, when the gray whales are calving in Bahía Magdalena, guests on the ‘Baja’s Bounty! Whale Sharks, Whales & Mobulas’ itinerary will travel overland to board panga boats in the bay and see whales and calves up close.
