Completion of a US$30-million, three-month-long facelift is heralding a new era for The Langham, Hong Kong. The renovation extends to 230 rooms and suites, with two Signature Suites (the Penthouse Suite and the Director Suite) both part of the transformation, now featuring distinctive living spaces and lofty views of Canton Road among myriad other joys.
“Our aim for the room renovation (was) to have a design referencing the Langham luxury brand elements, yet relevant to the character and culture of the city in which the hotel is located,” says Su Ball, Executive Director of G.A Design, the company commissioned with the project.
Headlining the new look for the luxury hotel in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui is Palm Court, a lounge glamorously restyled after its namesake at The Langham, London where traditional British afternoon tea was first served in the hotel almost 150 years ago.
The Langham, Hong Kong is an elegant European-style haven in the heart of vibrant Kowloon. Situated next to Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, the hotel is surrounded by the luxury flagship stores of the world’s most famous designer labels. The property’s 498 guestrooms and suites are finished with luxurious fabrics, hardwood floors, and hand-woven carpets, with no detail overlooked. Attractions range from the award-winning two Michelin-star T’ang Court Chinese restaurant to the rooftop pool.
