After the success of its launch in 2012, Alila Purnama, the luxury on-water experience from Alila Hotels and Resorts, will once again return in 2015, offering travellers a spectacular itinerary through the Komodo Islands between May and September this year.
The vessel is the most luxurious live-aboard Phinisi boat in the region, providing ultra-modern and relaxed accommodation for up to 10 guests. Sixteen crew members are on board to assist guests with anything they may need, and in keeping with Alila’s emphasis on style and sustainability, the furniture throughout the boat is custom-made from teak, rattan and other locally sourced Indonesian materials.
Komodo National Park was established in 1980, and listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1986. It lies in the famous Coral Triangle – the global heart of marine bio-diversity – and contains hundreds of unique species such as, wild boars, water buffalo, deer, monkeys and the famous Komodo Dragons.
Komodo Island expeditions are available from 3 May to 26 September 2015. Private charters (full ship chartering) may be tailored to guests’ preferred itineraries and sailing duration, subject to availability. Full charter of Alila Purnama starts at HKD85,294 per night. This price includes live-aboard meals and accommodation for 10 persons, unlimited dives, water activities and shore excursions.
Several trips from 16 May 2015 to 19 September 2015 are available based on two people sharing a cabin for six nights. These trips are priced from HKD98,863 for a standard suite (AU$16,357 at today’s exchange rate) and HKD 116,310++ for the master suite (AU$27,515 at today’s exchange rate).
Guests arrive by flight from Jakarta to Sorong with all booking details and transfers for the internal flights, taken care of by Alila.
