JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts has opened its first property in Austin, around two and a half years after production commenced. The 34-storey JW Marriott Austin is not only the largest of all hotels in Austin, but also the largest JW Marriott in North America and the second-largest JW Marriott in the world.

The hotel will boast a spectacular fifth-floor pool deck and bar, some of the largest guest rooms in the city, a full-service Starbucks and three dining options set to revolutionise the city’s culinary scene: Osteria Pronto, Corner and Burger Bar.
Osteria Pronto’s Italian menu is designed to offer a twist on classic dishes, using simple yet distinctive flavours. Corner offers a dining experience that’s full of life and Texan flair. Its Texas-inspired cuisine uses fresh local ingredients and can be enjoyed even more when paired with a uniquely crafted Tequila cocktail. JW Marriott Austin’s Burger Bar on Congress is the perfect place for a ‘quick bite’. It’s a walk-up food truck-style window on Congress Ave serving up flat-top burgers, french fries and shakes at lunchtime and in the early evening.
The JW Marriott Austin has 1012 rooms to offer its guests, treating all who enter to a distinct taste of Austin. Its design features large columns throughout the hotel and lobby built from Texas limestone, there’s an illustrated topographical map of Austin in the lobby ceiling and floor, an illuminated artwork behind the check-in area resembles a magnified cactus graphic, and there is a large outline of the state of Texas etched into the bottom of the fifth-floor pool.
The hotel is located on the square block bounded by Second and Third Streets and Brazos Street and Congress Avenue in downtown Austin and is within walking distance to major attractions, including the Austin Convention Center, the Texas State Capitol, the Ann & Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail on Lady Bird Lake, and more.
