Ahura Resorts is delighted to announce two more significant tourism accolades to add to its collection. Likuliku Lagoon Resort won the 2014 AON Fiji Excellence in Tourism Award for Best Luxury Accommodation, and Malolo Island Resort received the award for Best Quality Accommodation. It is the fourth time that these two resorts have received these respective awards.
“Once again, we are thrilled to be recognised on a local level by our industry peers,” says Steve Anstey, Group General Manager of Ahura Resorts. “As wholly owned Fijian resorts with strong ties to both the local community and Country, we’re dedicated to providing Likuliku and Malolo guests with a quintessential Fijian experience in every respect.”
Both resorts are situated on the 2000 acre island of Malolo itself, in the Mamanuca archipelago of West Fiji, conveniently just 25 kilometres from Nadi International Airport.
Since opening in 2007, Likuliku has welcomed tens of thousands of guests from all over the world and has also welcomed back over 3500 return guests with some couples on their 14th stay. The island’s 45 bures enjoy mesmerising views of the coral lagoon and ocean, with the over-water bures suspended over the magnificent Lagoon’s reef edge.
Ahura’s Malolo Island Resort offers a stunning barefoot-style Fijian holiday experience. Already a superb destination for families as well as offering a beautiful wedding and events venue, Malolo underwent an extensive F$5.5 million refurbishment in 2013. Its 46 bures boast ocean views and include four immensely popular family bures that sleep up to seven people. With a free Kids’ Club, entertainment and retreat lounges for adults and teenagers, two pools – including one for families and one for adults only – including a day bed and cabana zone, and a myriad of activities including snorkelling, diving, island hopping and dolphin spotting, it’s easy to see why Malolo welcomes back thousands of return visitors.
Both resorts are currently offering special deals in celebration. See their websites for details.
