25 years celebrated aboard Crystal Serenity

Crystal Cruises has myriad reasons to be excited at the moment. Not only have they recently been sold for a giant $550 million (with all senior management positions remaining as they are), but 2015 also marks its 25th anniversary. On top of this, the year has also seen the cruise line report record booking revenue.

A gathering of distinguished guests, of which LATTE were counted, were invited aboard Crystal Serenity on Tuesday 3 March, not only to celebrate, but to be wined and dined by the Maître d’Hôtel Leo Assmair, and Executive Chef Franz Weiss. The menu for the evening started with Yellow Tail Tartar and caviar from Silk Road by NOBU, moving on to a cream of white asparagus, then a divine crab and lobster risotto, a beef tenderloin of incomparable quality, culminating with a decadent chocolate cake.

The leading luxury cruise line celebrated its anniversary with special rates that finished on 2 March, and while these are no longer on offer, there are still some spots on 2015 voyages through Asia, South America, Mediterranean, Baltic, Caribbean and Canada.

LATTE had not previously been aboard Crystal Serenity, but walked away from the evening thoroughly impressed with the vessel’s onboard design, service and cuisine.
