InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto recently relaunched its newly refurbished graffiti ballroom and conference space, renaming it The Laneway Rooms. The addition is inspired by Melbourne’s iconic laneways, featuring a distinct graffiti installation that spans over 40 x 5 metres as a centrepiece across the ballroom and conference space.
The restoration saw the iconic luxury Melbourne hotel strip the interior walls back to its original 1890s brickwork, commissioning Melbourne laneway artists at The Blender Studios to graffiti the laneway directly outside the ballroom windows.
The Laneway Rooms comprise of three separate event rooms which can also be opened up into a large ballroom, catering from business conferences to momentous social events and wedding receptions for up to 370 guests.
InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto offers ultimate style and luxury whether for business purposes or a personal occasion, boasting over thirteen stylish and flexible function rooms from meetings for six people through to larger scale wedding receptions and dinners.
The graffiti installation involved over eight artists from The Blender Studios, taking over three weeks to transform the space from an abandoned laneway into a unique and breathtaking addition to the hotel’s iconic Melbourne design.
