Tourism Malaysia Sabah recently launched its new “Best of Borneo Holiday Packages” brochure, which features a fantastic range of value-for-money holiday packages targeting family, adventure and ecotourism travellers.
The brochure contains 36 attractively priced holiday packages, which were developed with the cooperation of 18 tour operators in Sabah, offering a variety of unique holiday getaways in the state.
Packages are categorised to make it easier for tourists to select the right Sabah holiday destination based on their specific interests. Themes include Eco Nature & Wildlife, Island Getaways, Golfing, Culture & Heritage, Food Trails, Two Wheel, Homestay and Parks & Gardens, as well as niche tourism offerings such as angling and mountain biking.
Just some of the great itineraries on offer include:
- Let’s make Masak Masak with Hajah Limah – a Food Trail package showcasing Malaysia’s rightly celebrated delicious cuisine and providing travellers with a unique opportunity to learn about cooking Malaysian dishes using local ingredients and herbs from local expert Hajah Kimah. The package costs RM367 per person (approx. AU$130) for a minimum of four people.
- Mystical Land below the Wind – introduces visitors to the supernatural beliefs, ancient rites and spiritual realm of Sabah’s indigenous peoples. This three-day/two-night itinerary, is priced at RM927 (approx. AU$330) per person and promises participants a truly spine-tingling experience.
- A Journey Thru My Lens – is perfect for photography and nature enthusiasts. From RM1197 (approx. AU$427) per person inclusive of all accommodation, meals and river cruising, travellers will be escorted by a professional photographer as they get up close and personal with some of the abundant and exotic wildlife for which Sabah is famous, such as the endangered Pygmy elephants, orangutans, proboscis monkeys and many more.
The Best of Borneo Holiday Packages form a key pillar in Tourism Malaysia Sabah’s strategy to boost tourist arrivals to the state and to showcase Sabah as one of the most beautiful, versatile and safe destinations for tourism in South-East Asia.
All holiday packages are valid until 31 December 2015.
