Coming soon: NoMo SoHo

NoMo SoHo, formerly known as the Mondrian SoHo, is set to reopen in its downtown Manhattan locale to  become the newest member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ ‘Lifestyle’ collection.

NoMo is an abbreviated combination of ‘nostalgic’ and ‘modern’ – a philosophy evident in each of the building’s designs and amenities. Completed in 2012, the property was purchased by a partnership between fashion mogul and Buddha Bar founder Gerard Guez and the real estate group ASRR Capital LTD in early March 2015.

The hotel’s chief executive, Graham Leslie, will oversee the 263-room property’s transformation, management and relaunch, which is set to be completed later this year. Leslie is responsible for starting the Conrad brand and has worked with properties that include the Plaza Athénée in Paris and The Hotel Adlon in Berlin.

Guestrooms will have floor-to-ceiling windows and skyline views, and upon its full relaunch, the property will debut a new, unique style that is set to embody nostalgic SoHo.
