British Airways is preparing to launch another six new short-haul routes and one new long-haul route from London come May this year.

The major development among these is the new daily service from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur, which will appear on the departure board for the first time on 27 May, operated by a Boeing 777 aircraft.

The remaining six destinations will bump up the number of short-haul routes launched this year to 13, with destinations now featuring Krakow in Poland, Corfu in Greece, Split in Croatia, Kos in Greece, Olbia in Sardinia and Funchal in Madeira.

The airline has already launched seven routes since the start of the year, and with 18 new routes in total scheduled for 2015, it makes it the most number of new routes in a 12-month period from British Airways in over a decade.
