At Silky Oaks Lodge, guests are instantly met with the sounds of native wildlife and the rushing of the Mossman River. The open sided Treehouse Restaurant fronts directly onto the river, and serves rainforest-inspired fare that focuses on utilising native ingredients and the freshest local produce. This one-of-a-kind restaurant experience is the region’s premier dining destination.
Silky Oaks Lodge has been built entirely with the environment in mind, offering accommodation in six treehouse-style accommodations all with private balconies and hammocks. The ultimate room is the spacious Billabong Suites complete with custom furniture made from local sustainable timbers, open-plan living areas, Bose sound system, complimentary mini-bar, library and a private balcony with hammock and day bed.
The in-house Healing Waters Spa adds an additional layer of luxury to the Silky Oaks experience. Drawing on the spirit of the Daintree and the traditional inhabitants of the rainforest, the Yalangi people, the Healing Waters Spa offers treatments with renewal, vitality and wellbeing in mind using Australian Sodashi products.
Helicopter exploration is another element that adds to an Ultimate Silky Indulgence stay. Guests are whisked away from Silky Oaks’ own helipad for a three-hour journey into the remote heart of the Daintree. Upon a spectacular landing on the edge of a waterfall, there’s a secluded swimming hole for guests to enjoy. Silky Oaks can also arrange a gourmet picnic lunch before guests embark on a scenic flight back to the Lodge along the glorious Coral Sea coastline.
