Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is making its Bangkok debut, with the opening of a contemporary hotel in one of the Thai capital’s most prime locations, Sukhumvit Soi 15.

The five-star Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok is the brand’s first city hotel in Thailand, but its fourth countrywide, with three upscale beach properties already in operation; one in Koh Samui and two in Phuket.

“Strategically positioned in Bangkok’s bustling business, leisure and entertainment district and just a few steps from Sukhumvit Road, Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok boasts an enviable location,” said Andreas Mattmüller, Chief Operating Officer of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, Middle East and Asia. “Bangkok remains one of South-East Asia’s main business hubs and to open a brand new hotel in one of the city’s most established areas, popular with visitors, residents and expats alike, is another important step for Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts as we continue to expand our footprint across the region,” he added.

Highlights of the 297-key Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok include a 20-metre rooftop pool and bar, 330sqm of meeting space and a cosy courtyard featuring a unique two-storey waterfall.

The dining offering showcases Mövenpick’s renowned gastronomic expertise, with outlets serving a range of high-quality cuisine from Thai classics to European and international dishes. In addition, the Rainforest Rooftop Bar is a place where guests can enjoy cocktails and gourmet tapas whilst enjoying views of the Bangkok skyline.

Mövenpick’s Bangkok debut signals the firm’s on-going expansion commitments in Thailand, where the firm has signed and sealed deals for two further properties; one in Pattaya opening at the beginning of 2016 and another resort property planned for Hua Hin.
