Travel trade given even more reason to promote Sabah

Last week, nine Melbourne travel agents travelled to Sabah on Royal Brunei Airlines to spend four nights at both Bunga Raya Island Resort & Spa and Gayana Eco Resort (agents are pictured below enjoying a meal at Alu Alu Seafood Restaurant at Gayana).

Following this, both properties are currently offering fantastic promotional rates until 30 June 2015:

  1. 50% off second and third night at Gayana Eco Resort
  2. 30% off second and third night at Bunga Raya Island Resort & Spa

The two sister properties are luxe resorts located on Pulau Gaya, the largest of the five islands in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, Sabah Borneo.

Travellers can easily reach the area via either Singapore or Kuala Lumpur into Kota Kinabalu or  Royal Brunei Airlines from Melbourne to Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei with connecting 40 minute flight to Kota Kinabalu.

The resorts are accessible by a comfortable 15-minute ferry ride from Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah in East Malaysia, with the resorts just a complimentary 10-minute boat ride apart.

From kayaking through mangrove swamps and jungle trekking to diving and snorkelling, there is a broad medley of activities to keep guests occupied.

Beyond the island, there is a range of tours in Kota Kinabalu and further for guests to choose from. These vary from visits to Orangutans, city tours, river cruises, white water rafting, hot springs, heritage walks, Wildlife Park and cultural villages.
