A touch of Switzerland for Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel

The Luxury five-star beachfront resort, Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel is pleased to welcome Chef Markus Fisler as The Executive Chef with over 30 years experienced in the hospitality industry.

Born and raised in Switzerland, Chef Markus successfully finished a three year Chef’s apprenticeship in Switzerland and worked with different hotels before he migrated to Australia and worked there for 13 years in several reputed hotels such as Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas, Sheraton Sydney, Intercontinental Sydney and at the main Olympic Stadium during the 2000 Olympic Games for Sodexho.

He then moved back to Switzerland looking for a new challenge and worked in Athens as a hotel school lecturer. After successfully finishing one year as a lecturer, he moved to The United Arab Emirates and worked for the Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers in Abu Dabhi and Le Royal Meridien in Dubai. After 8 years in United Arab Emirates, he moved to Bahrain before he came to Bali to join The Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel.
