Announced at ILTM Asia 2015, Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas has already had an extremely productive year, having reached a total of 34 properties in operation across 10 countries, and continues its strategic expansion with a strong pipeline of future openings in Asia and the Indian Ocean by the end of 2016.

Anantara is developing two resorts in Sri Lanka: the Anantara Tangalle Peace Haven Resort along the southern coast and the Anantara Kalutara Resort located in the picturesque south-west coast. The resorts will offer ample guestrooms, dining options, swimming pools and Anantara spas.

China has plans to open three resorts by the end of 2016. The Anantara Guiyang Resort and the Anantara Shanghai Minhang Hotel will offer ample guestrooms and villas, restaurants and bars and fitness and spa facilities. The third, Anantara Qiandao Lake Resort, is home to the largest forest park in China, with mountains, crystal clear water and exotic caves.

Anantara La Chaland Resort on Mauritius will be nestled alongside 800 metres of pristine beach, with natural sand dunes and a marine park as some of the local attractions. The resort will have 160 guestrooms, suites and villas, surrounded by abundant landscaping.

The final property will be Anantara Luang Prabang Resort in Laos. The UNESCO-protected city centre features a large variety of historical sites, monuments, temples and monasteries. The new property will offer 90 guestrooms and suites and will be located in a prime location facing the Mekong River.

Anantara also plans to open properties in the MENA region, including Oman, UAE, Tunisia and Morocco.
