On Friday 14 August, LATTE attended the HotelTonight event at the Archie Rose Distillery in Rosebery. With the HotelTonight signature ’13th Floor’ cocktail in hand event reporter, Lisa Wagstaff, spun the wheel of spontaneity and landed on the Establishment Hotel, her lavish accommodation for the night.
All attendees had the chance to spin the wheel and spend a night of luxury at one of four modern hotels: the Establishment Hotel, The Grace, Raddison Blu or Hotel 1888 in Sydney. One very lucky guest also won the ‘golden ticket’, granting them a night in the custom built HotelTonight ‘container hotel’ with 24-hour concierge, currently located in Victoria’s Yarra Valley.
To secure their bookings, guests utilised the HotelTonight app, with over 15,000 hotels in more than 500 destinations. The HotelTonight app is available on both iOS and Android and is the perfect tool for last-minute stays.
The later you book, the greater the discount, with some rooms offered for 20-50% less than what can be found online.
With a focus on boutique and luxury properties, hotels are listed under ‘hip’, ‘luxe’, ‘charming’ or ‘basic’ tags to aid users in selecting their ideal accommodation. Each day up to 15 hotels are displayed on the app. The algorithm to rank the hotels takes into account proximity, positive feedback and the value of the discount offered by the hotel.
After enjoying the abundant cocktails and canapés, it was announced to the guests that the transportation was ready and Lisa was whisked away in a shiny Audi Q7, arriving at the Establishment Hotel to enjoy its modern accommodation and complimentary breakfast.
