On 17 August 2015, Sun Peaks Resort announced their newest features, upcoming events and latest deals. Sun Peaks is Canada’s second largest ski area, with 133 runs, and continues to redefine its boundaries with additional trail development.

Last season, over 200 hectares of traditional backcountry terrain was incorporated in the resort boundary, adding endless powder-filled tree lines. Across the valley, West Morrisey also saw the addition of two new advanced runs, ‘Tumble Dry’ and ‘Lint Trap’. Up to three new trails will be completed for next season, continuing to build out the challenging ‘Laundromat’ area.

Sun Peaks has also developed a new learning area, providing a more comfortable learning environment near the base of the Sunburst chairlift. The large, gentle slope will also feature a new magic carpet lift.

The resort’s new Whistler-based partner will operate shuttle service three times a week. Ski in the morning, depart Sun Peaks after lunch and be in Whistler for dinner. Whistler departure is at 7:00am.

The range of  family activities has increased and includes: Family Fun Night at the skating rink, Family Fun Dual Race every Saturday evening from 4-6pm, Kids Craft Night three times a week, Sleigh rides available daily and the Tube Park, with a unique design including curving lanes.

Sun Peak’s latest deals on offer are the Sun Peaks Early Bird Deal, which offers up to three nights free accommodation, up to 15% off Lift Passes and kids under 12 years ski free.
