On 1 September 2015, SWISS International Airlines offer a new print-at-home baggage tag option for its Zurich departures, enabling travellers to obtain all the flight documents they need at home, which will minimise wait times at the airport. All existing baggage allowances remain unchanged.
This new facility enables travellers to print out up to 4 baggage tags during the web check-in process, as well as printing their boarding pass. The tags are produced in A4 format, which can be folded and inserted into a transparent plastic pouch which is attached to the bag. The reusable pouches are available for free at any LX airport desk.
The print-at-home baggage tag option is available for any LX flight from Zurich, including onward connections (but excluding codeshare flights). All registered and tagged baggage can either be handled at the self-service bag drop machine (if available) or at any staffed bag drop desk.
LX is planning further expansions of this facility to inbound Zurich flights, starting for flights from the USA to Zurich. The print-at-home tag option has already been offered in Geneva since 18 August 2015.
