The Homestead, a historic Cape Dutch farmhouse that has recently been converted into a luxurious vineyard villa, is being touted as the perfect base for multigenerational trips, involving kids, parents and grandparents in South Africa.

Located on the grounds of the boutique winery Oldenburg Vineyards in the Banghoek Valley between Stellenbosch and Franschoek, families and their friends have exclusive use of the stylish homestead which provides a luxurious and very private setting.

The Homestead has ample space for up to 12 guests, featuring 6 ensuite bedrooms as well as various indoor and outdoor dining and lounge spaces. The generous layout of the property offers a balance between family togetherness and space for kids and other family members to exercise their freedom and preferences.

The fully equipped eat-in kitchen with double-height ceiling and views of the surrounding mountains is available for guests to cook their own meal, or they can request a private chef as well as butler and chauffeur. Guests can also help themselves from the owner’s personal wine collection in the house or take a stroll next door to the Oldenburg cellars where award-winning wines have been produced since 2007.
