Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru is set to open on 24 September in South India’s capital state of Karnataka. The 397-room, 19-storey hotel is located 30 minutes from the international airport.
“The launch of Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru is a significant addition to the city,” said Jens Corder, general manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru. “Built to offer a complete range of meeting and leisure facilities with style, we look forward to welcoming guests and enhancing their experience with bespoke services.”
The hotel’s function rooms are spread over two levels and include The Grand Ballroom and 6 meeting rooms, while other offerings include CHI, The Spa and a health club featuring outdoor and kids’ swimming pools. Dining options range from Mediterranean at Caprese, Indian cuisine at Ssaffron, Japanese at Yataii and the indoor and outdoor lounge, Hype.
Guestrooms start from 41sqm, and each features an executive desk, plush patterned carpeting and free Internet access. Outfitted in locally sourced New Gold Vein marble, the bathrooms are spacious and built-in with a wardrobe, bathtub, separate walk-in rain shower and antique bronze mirrors.
The hotel’s 30 suites range from 98 to 274 sqm, and include 3 Governor Suites and the palatial Shangri-La Suite, whose guests enjoy full access to the Horizon Club Lounge. Also catering for Horizon Club guests, the lounge is a sophisticated space providing breakfast, tea, evening cocktails and the services of a concierge team.
To celebrate Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru’s opening a Corporate Bengaluru offer is available until 31 July 2016. Priced at INR 18,352 guests can enjoy two nights in a luxurious guestroom, daily breakfast and benefits. Excluded is the 8.4% service charge and 12% government tax.
