CruiseAway presents the top three dining experiences at sea:
Oceania Cruises: Oceania Rivera
In terms of fine dining, an Oceania Cruise is a luxury cruise line offering excellent cuisine. Throughout its 13 years of service at sea, one of its priorities has always been in the kitchen. A night of sophisticated and elegant dining can be enjoyed in the Grand Dining Hall, or the finest steaks and seafood at Polo Grill. For a taste of Italy, the Toscana restaurant is the place. Out of its fleet, Oceania Riviera and Marina stand out as they offer two additional dining venues, an Asian Cuisine ‘Red Ginger’ and a French bistro ‘Jacques’ named after the head chef himself, Jacques Pépin. For casual options, an alfresco meal served at the Terrace Café is delicious, as is the poolside dining at Waves Grill.
Crystal Cruises: Crystal Serenity
This Japanese-owned cruise line provides fine dining, specialising in great food as well as luxurious service. A classic, yet modern way of traditional dining is served in the Crystal Dining Room. As one of the first to introduce alternative specialty restaurants, Crystal caters for everyone’s tastebuds. Excellent Japanese cuisine is served at the Silk Road restaurant, courtesy of MasterChef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa. The Prego restaurant offers tasty Italian food and wine. Casual dining on board includes the Lido Café’s wide choice of modern foods in a buffet style, as well as the Tastes Restaurant famous prime burgers.
Celebrity Cruises: Celebrity Equinox
Back in 2013, Celebrity raised the bar of dining on sea and continues to do so with its award-winning cuisine and world-class wine collection. It offers a modern twist on traditional dining with a superb menu which can be found in the two-tiered main dining room. Celebrity serves excellent casual food options in several restaurants on board, as well as buffet-styled dining options. Specialty restaurants add to the fabulous range of mouth-watering cuisines: the taste of Italy is served in the Tuscan Grill, French food in Murano, as well as the Orient at Silk Harvest.
