LUX Resorts & Hotels has announced the signature of a management contract with MYC Partners for a mixed-use property project in the bustling resort city of Bodrum, a centre of tourism and also yachting in Turkey. The project will comprise a 60 room 5-star hotel and 75 high-end residences of which 25 will be branded and operated by LUX. The architecture of the hotel has been awarded a Silver Prize at the A’design Awards. The hotel is planned to open in May 2017.
Dr. Akdoğan, the Chairman of MYC Partners, spoke highly of the partnership bwith LUX: “We were indeed impressed by the expansion of LUX globally and more importantly the group’s focus on quality service. MYC Partners have high hopes on this project which will be a landmark in Turkey competing with the big names in the luxury segment. Many big names in the global property and hotel space were vying for the management of the Bodrum hotel and the residential project but the tenacity and professionalism of LUX won our hearts and minds. We are keen on building a great partnership together.”
Paul Jones, Group CEO of LUX also commented at the press conference held in Istanbul: “For us, this is a major step in our global expansion and in the countries of Europe. We have managed to bring our Lighter and Brighter concept all the way to frontiers which were henceforth perceived as unattainable by a Mauritian hospitality group. We are indeed proud to establish the LUX brand in Europe after the Indian Ocean islands, China and UAE. This is no mean feat for our team members”.
