According to Chinese astrology, the Year of the Fire Monkey is a time for fun and adventure, making it the perfect year to explore the beauty of Asia. To celebrate Chinese New Year and make it an unforgettable one filled with unique experiences, Cathay Pacific has released special fares from Australia to over 50 destinations in Asia.

In addition to the sale, Cathay Pacific is also giving two lucky people a chance to fly to and enjoy Hong Kong in style, with an exciting ‘Hong Kong in the Year of the Monkey’ competition.

Chinese New Years fares

Cathay Pacific’s Chinese New Year fares are available to over 50 destinations in Asia and include flights to Hong Kong from just $725 and Shanghai from $692 in Economy Class or return fares to Seoul starting from $1905 and to Manila from $1699 in Premium Economy Class. The special fares are for travel between 14 July 2016 and 30 November 2016, and are on sale from now until 11.59pm (AEDT), 11 February 2016.

The Year of the Monkey Competition

According to the Chinese Zodiac, the traits of the Monkey are ‘curious’, ‘mischievous’, ‘clever’ and ‘urban’. This Chinese New Year, Cathay Pacific is giving away a holiday to Hong Kong. To go in the running to win two Premium Economy Class return tickets, a four-night stay at the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers and tours, entrants are required to pick Hong Kong’s monkey trait that most excites them and explain why. Entries need to be submitted before 11:59pm 7 February 2016 (AEDT).
