Hilton Hotels & Resorts has announced its first hotel in Chad, Hilton N’Djamena, which takes Hilton Worldwide’s overall presence to 100 countries and territories. The 194-room property, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Chari River, is located in the new and upmarket district of Sabangali in N’Djamena. The latest addition joins Hilton Worldwide’s growing portfolio of 37 hotels in Africa.

Rob Palleschi, Global Head, Full Service Brands, Hilton Worldwide, said: “Hilton Hotels & Resorts has had a presence in Africa for more than 50 years and Hilton N’Djamena is a magnificent achievement that showcases how far the brand has come in its commitment to this market. Located in the heart of the country, Hilton N’Djamena, with its striking river views and relaxing environment, marks an exciting addition to the Hilton portfolio.”

Located near tourist attractions such as the National Museum, which houses N’Djamena’s oldest artefacts, Grand Marche (Central Market) for a local shopping experience like no other and Avenue Charles de Gaulle with its European-style colonial houses, Hilton N’Djamena truly is a destination that caters for all.

The contemporary property, which includes 11 suites, provides guests with resort-style facilities situated perfectly for those travelling for business. N’Djamena is home to the National Assembly of Chad, along with many other political organisations across the city. The property boasts a wide range of dining options from the poolside Acqua Bar and Grill, to the stylish yet comfortable Axis Bar and Lounge.

Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Middle East & Africa, Hilton Worldwide, said: “We’re excited to be opening our first property in Chad. Africa is a key focus for us in terms of growth. Hilton N’Djamena is not only a great base for business travellers, but also for those wanting to explore Northern Chad for the sand dunes and Saharan fauna – a jewel amongst the world’s desert landscapes.”
