Scenic has named Jean Kittson, popular Australian performer and writer, as Godmother to Scenic’s first river cruise ship on Portugal’s Douro River – Scenic Azure.
Jean will christen the 96-passenger river cruiser in Porto in April before it commences a full season sailing through the sun-drenched Douro Valley from World Heritage-listed Porto down to Vega de Terron over the Spanish border.
Jean is an actress, comedian, and writer for TV, theatre, film and radio. She came to national attention on ‘The Big Gig’, followed by Let the Blood Run Free, Kittson Fahey, Good News Week, the Glasshouse, Flat Chat, The Einstein Factor, and comedy debates for the ABC, Channel 9 and Channel 10. She is a host and speaker at conventions, conferences and festivals. Jean is the author of two books, most recently ‘You’re Still Hot To Me’.
Michelle Black, GM Sales and Marketing, commented: “We are so delighted Jean accepted our invitation to become Godmother to Scenic Azure. What better way to celebrate our 30th anniversary year than with another witty and wonderful Australian woman christening our newest ship.”
