COMO Hotels and Resorts is offering a new luxury experience in the Maldives with Cameron, a 20-metre Hatteras yacht. Using this live-aboard vessel, guests can dip in and out of COMO’s two resorts, Cocoa Island and Maalifushi, to experience two very different atolls.
Intimate Cocoa Island, situated in the South Malé Atoll, offers 33 overwater suites surrounded by a private reef, with some of the world’s best diving opportunities just off the soft-white-sands. Thaa Atoll is home to Maalifushi, among a string of uninhabited islands. As well as COMO Shambhala therapies and world-class cuisine, guests can also enjoy near-exclusive access to some of the archipelago’s best surf, diving and snorkeling opportunities. Between the two resorts there is a night’s easy sailing on Cameron, incorporating cobalt waters and white-sand islets where you can sleep under clear starry nights.
Usually anchored at Maalifushi, Cameron is available to charter for a few hours or can be booked for multi-night itineraries to catch a specific wave, a whale shark migration, or for an extended honeymoon adventure. Staff are personalised to each excursion, be it chefs for picnics on marble-white sandbanks, or night dives requiring a specialist instructor.
Rates to experience Cameron start from AUD$2260 for a two-hour sunset cruise and AUD$22,000 for a 24-hour overnight expedition between Cocoa Island by COMO and Maalifushi by COMO. During an overnight journey the boat is fully skippered at all times and prices are inclusive of all meals and nonalcoholic drinks.
