APT has revealed an exciting new journey that takes guests on an exploration of New Zealand’s North and South Islands through a combination of coach touring and ocean cruising.
The new 24-day New Zealand Voyager itinerary features in APT’s latest New Zealand 2016/17 brochure, available in travel agents from today.
Priced from $8995 per person, twin share, the fully inclusive journey commences in Christchurch with a journey aboard the TranzAlpine train to Arthur’s Pass. Guests then take in the Franz Josef Glacier, Queenstown and Lake Tekapo before flying to the North Island. From Auckland, it’s on to the Bay of Islands for two nights before heading back to the capital to transfer to the 14-night cruise.
Sailing aboard Holland America Line’s Ms Noordam, and staying in an elegantly appointed Verandah Stateroom, guests explore New Zealand from the coastline. Following the Islands clockwise from Auckland, stops include Rotorua, Napier, Wellington, Picton, Dunedin and the Milford Sound before heading to Tasmania and then Melbourne and Sydney.
As well as staying in leading hotels such as Te Waonui Forest Retreat at Franz Josef and The Hermitage Hotel at Mount Cook, guests also enjoy the chance to visit the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, take a dolphin-watching cruise through the Bay of Islands and also sample some of New Zealand’s famous wines.
New Zealand is a destination going from strength to strength and the expansion of APT’s portfolio with this new itinerary, alongside its guaranteed departures, reflects the high demand from Australian and British guests wanting to explore the ‘Land of the Long White Cloud’.
Debra Fox, APT Executive General Manager Global Sales and Marketing said, “We’ve seen a significant uplift in sales for New Zealand over the past two years and it shows no sign of slowing.
“Our guests are keen to explore New Zealand from many different vistas. Last year we introduced rail journeys to the portfolio, this year we are complementing it further with ocean cruising. Agents love APT’s programme because it offers high-end luxury, it is fully inclusive, guests are looked after throughout and there is an itinerary to suit everyone,” she said.
With the new itinerary, APT now offers a choice of 11 different all-inclusive luxury escorted journeys by and rail or sea.
Most popular tour is the 18-day Royal Tourer New Zealand which is priced from $6895 per person and takes guests on a journey from North Island to South.
