New hotels are springing up all over Los Angeles, with 27 new hotels under construction and an additional 20 in the final planning stages. These 47 hotel projects will deliver more than 8400 new hotel rooms to the L.A. area by 2018. Highlights include:
- Dazzler the Clark, to open in early 2016 in Downtown L.A
- Esplendor Trinity Hotel, to open in April 2016
- Dream Hollywood Hotel, to open in the heart of Hollywood on April 2016
- NoMad Los Angeles, a 12-storey hotel to open in July 2016
- Freehand Hotel and Hostel, to open in October 2016
- Cambria El Segundo LAX, to open in October 2016
- The James Los Angeles, to open in December 2016
- Hotel Indigo Downtown Los Angeles, the 350-room hotel to open in January 2017
- Downtown L.A. Proper, the 13-storey hotel to open in early 2017
- The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hill, to open in June 2017
- InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown, to open in June 2017
- Thompson Hollywood Hotel, to open in 2017
- JW Marriott Los Angeles Expansion, the 38-storey hotel to open in 2018
- The West Hollywood EDITION, to open in March 2018
- Cavalli Hotel, the $1 billion project to open in June 2018
- W Los Angeles Downtown, to open in early 2019
