An Amazonian adventure, a wilderness journey through Bolivia, the chance to explore Easter Island and a ‘2 for 1’ flight deal are just some of the latest additions to Travelmarvel’s new South America touring programme for 2017.

Travel agents can now offer guests the chance experience the Peruvian Amazon rainforest with a three-night stay at the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica. This experience is available as part of Travelmarvel’s 21-day Highlights of South America with Amazon Lodge tour which is priced from $10,795 per person twin share. The journey includes two nights in Chile, three nights in Argentina and five nights in Brazil along with 10 nights exploring Peru.

At stylish eco-friendly lodge, Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica, situated in the heart of a 17,000-hectare private ecological reserve on the banks of Peru’s Madre de Dios River, guests will stay in wooden cabanas and spend three nights exploring the surrounding rainforest with local guides. The lodge stay can also be combined with the Galapagos Islands Cruise to extend the journey further.

Travelmarvel is also introducing a four-night discovery of Bolivia as a new feature for 2017. Travelling from Uyuni via Siloli to San Pedro de Atacama, the journey includes a special stay at the Hotel de Sal Luna Salada, which is built entirely of salt blocks. Guest enjoy a range of sightseeing including exploring Bolivia’s highland lagoons in the Atacama desert. Travel agents can book this experience as part of the new 21-day Highlights of South America with Bolivia tour.

Also new for 2017 is a special four-night pre- or post-tour extension combining three nights on Easter Island and one night in Santiago. Highlights include the opportunity to fully explore this open-air museum, visiting the many archaeological sites and the volcanic crater of Ranu Raraku. This extension can be added to any Travelmarvel South America itinerary and is priced from just $3195 per person, twin share.

Travelmarvel has also refined a number of existing itineraries, including the 12-day Iconic Wonders of Peru tour, which can be combined with the Amazon Lodge, Galapagos Cruise and Colca Canyon and Arequipa. In 2017 guests on this tour will stay in a range of new hotels, including a special stay in the Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba in the Sacred Valley. In addition, Travelmarvel has added an extra night in Cusco giving clients a full day at leisure to explore.

The new brochure offers a choice of 16 different itineraries for 2017 ranging from 12 to 33 days in length.

Travelmarvel’s programme covers the length and breadth of South America. Cruising remains an important part of Travelmarvel’s offering in South America and in 2017 agents can book Galápagos cruises aboard the M/V Santa Cruz II, a ship that accommodates just 90 guests and offers a range of onboard facilities including two Jacuzzis, a main restaurant, different social spaces and an al fresco dining area.

For its Amazon cruising Travelmarvel continues to use the boutique sized MV Anakonda, taking guests on a deluxe cruise of the world’s largest river system. Operating in the Ecuadorian Amazon, each suite onboard offers 20sqm worth of space, a private balcony, Jacuzzi and panoramic windows. Cruise highlights include guided rainforest hikes, canoe trips, and skiff boat trips to remote riverside communities.

Travelmarvel has also extended its Chilean Fjords Cruising for 2017, offering new variations on itineraries featuring departures aboard Holland America Line’s ms Zaandam.

Travelmarvel’s best selling tour remains the 20-day Highlights of South America. Priced from $9595 per person, twin share, guests travel from Santiago to Lima via Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Iguassu Falls, Lima, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cusco and Lake Titicaca.

Earlybird Specials for 2017 include ‘2 for 1 airfares’ offer valid whereby one person will receive a free return airfare, including taxes, when two people book a South America holiday of 20 days or longer and flights from Australia.
