The reputation of 407-room Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok among food buffs has reached new heights with the appointment of internationally acclaimed Bertini Vittorio as Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage.
Chef Vittorio’s role includes oversight of the multi-award winning Rang Mahal Indian restaurant, which also provides patrons with stunning panoramic views across the city, and the Mexicano, Thailand’s leading authentic Mexican restaurant as well as popular eateries including the poolside eatery, Da Vinci.
“It says much about our reputation as a host for outstanding international quality cuisine that the Rembrandt can attract someone of the calibre of Bertini Vittorio,” said General Manager of the Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok, Mr Eric Hallin.
“Chef Vittorio enjoys 40 years’ experience in fine dining served in some of the world’s leading restaurants and hotels. His education in food design began in Europe where he later served as chef de cuisine and hotel school teacher in Switzerland for three years. He is an honorary member of Chaine des Rotisseurs.”
Italian by birth and speaking seven languages, Chef Vittorio has created culinary masterpieces for celebrities and food aficionados in Morocco, France, Switzerland, the Middle East and across South-East Asia.
Mr Hallin said the hotel was excited about Bertini Vittorio joining the Rembrandt and adding to its reputation for award-winning unforgettable meals for two through to scrumptious wedding feasts, group functions, intimate business lunches and café style meals for families.
“Chef Vittorio’s skill, experience and willingness to impart knowledge and culinary secrets to his colleagues is a plus for the hotel and our guests,” said Mr Hallin.
