United Airlines has been servicing the Australian market for 30 years, catering for both business and leisure customers. Understood as one of the most important international markets and investment locations, Australia has been provided with more than 150 daily connections via SFO or LAX to over 90 destinations in the United States by UA.

In March 2016, UA will introduce the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft to replace the Boeing 777-200 on its daily Sydney to San Francisco and Sydney to Los Angeles services, effective 27 March and 28 March respectively (eastbound). This investment will mean UA’s trans-Pacific network will become the first all-Dreamliner network.

In addition, effective 3 July 2016, UA will launch nonstop Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights between Auckland and San Francisco (eastbound and subject to government approval). Initially this service will operate three times weekly with 787-8 aircraft. Effective 30 October 2016 (eastbound), the service will operate daily with the larger capacity 787-9 aircraft. With this new service, UA will provide round-trip one-stop service between Auckland and more than 44 US cities, including more than 40 cities that do not have single carrier, one-stop service from Auckland today.

UA is also investing in expanded products and service. The carrier has formed a new alliance with illy caffè to offer the Italian coffee company’s premium blend for customers onboard and in United Club locations worldwide. The airline is also now offering economy class passengers two free check-in bags on flights between Australia and the US. Finally, UA and Cowshed Spa, the premium spa and lifestyle brand of London-based Soho House & Co., have partnered to bring travellers contemporary new amenities onboard and at more than a dozen UA airport lounges worldwide.
