During the recent Visit USA Travel Week a film crew captured the essence and vibrancy of a typical Visit USA Travel Week expo and highlighted why the many travel agents attend the popular events each year.
The short video really captures the excitement of the events and showcases why the evenings are so enduringly popular with the travel trade and the Visit USA members. The video features interviews with participants and snippets of the presentations. It can be found on the Visit USA website, along with the long list of prize winners from each of the Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney expos, and is a must watch for all who attended.
The winner of the questionnaire competition has also just been announced and Lisa Priestly of Sylvania Travel & Cruise is the knowledgeable winner who is now the recipient of a Walt Disney World package donated by Travel House of America.
Surveys of the Visit USA travel week attendees produced some interesting statistics:
· Over 33 per cent have attended the expos more than five times
· Almost 70 per cent have attended more than once
· Over 95 per cent felt the expos met their expectations, with 90 per cent happy with the event format
· 96 per cent are now more confident in selling travel to the USA to their clients and over 75 per cent are now more likely to recommend travel to the USA
Visit USA will announce the dates of the next state capital and regional city travel agent expos shortly. These expos will also have informative presentations and myriad prizes for attendees to win.
