Exclusive lobby display by Opera Australia
Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is currently hosting an impressive Opera on Sydney Harbour lobby display, for an exclusive preview of the performances. The exhibit includes costumes from previous Opera on the Harbour performances including a photography wall of images. The lobby display will be active until 24 April 2016. Later in the year it will be replaced by a display for the Opera, Carmen.
About Turandot and Carmen
Taking place on the water’s edge in a pop-up opera house with purpose-built bars, restaurants and a grandstand under the stars, Turandot is a story of a death-marked love told with salt in the air, light on the sails and the city skyline reflected in your glass. It’s the best of Sydney in a single evening: singing, sunsets and sparkling wine, in perfect harmony.
The new 2016 production of Carmen directed by John Bell (Bell Shakespeare) will play at the Sydney Opera House featuring a colourful, physical and entertaining performance with punch and irresistible Spanish tunes.
Turandot on Sydney Harbour: now until 24 April 2016
Carmen at Sydney Opera House: 16 June – 12 August 2016
